Earth. A world quarantined since its discovery by the Far-Reachers of Jota's history. And where the fortunes of slavers and chemists have been made ever since.

It was to Earth that Kanetus E'Var, the son of Jota's most ruthless slaver, escaped to make Vahst, a powerful drug manufactured from the human brain. And it was to Earth that Tagen Pahnee, Fourth-ranking officer of the Jotan Off-World Security Fleet, was sent to bring the criminal back to justice. Neither of them could have anticipated that at that moment, E'Var's hunting grounds were experiencing the worst heat wave in years, triggering the Jotan breeding cycle in both males.

Home is not an option for either of them. Both are determined to find a way to work on this hostile planet, surrounded by humans, surrounded by dangers, surrounded by Heat.

Adult readers only, due to graphic gore, violence, and explicit sexual situations.

HEAT by R. Lee Smith
My Rating 5 out of 5

Okay, I don't know where this book came from but WOW!!

I rooted for the bad guy even thought he was mean as a snake...it was something about him. Very graphic, brutal, erotic and disturbing and I couldn't put it down.

Kane is a psychopatic killer, kidnapper, rapist and drug chemist/dealer Alien. Raven, his chosen human companion. Kane has come to Earth to harvest dopamine from human brains. Tagen is a good guy cop Alien tracking Kane to Earth. Daria is Tagen chosen human companion. Both guys are in heat and sex is the only thing that can help it other than a suppressant from Jotan, their planet.

I, like some others rooted for Kane and Raven, but wanted him to ditch Sue-Eye (another human he picked up)and quit being such A**. I know, I know...I could not help it. Once Tagen and Daria's relationship developed, it was very sweet and caring, the total opposite of Kane and Raven's relationship. I still rooted for Kane and Raven, I really just needed both guy to have a HEA with their human companions. It was an excellent sci-fi, erotica/romantica book.
