This is definitely for the SciFi lover.

It starts off with Rory thinking about the violent night that happened three years ago (and that is brought up many times during the story). Rory is smart, damaged, and just wants to be left alone. Benji is the too happy, handsome guy that follows her around like a love-sick puppy. And then there is Cyrus, the handsome and brilliant new student she thinks is trying to take her research assistant spot with the family friend and favorite professor.

There is somewhat of a "love" triangle between her, Benji and Cyrus.......but not really. There is one sex scene and I jumped for joy because I thought she FINALLY chose the right one.......and now we are getting to the point. NOT.  I didn't know where this story was going for the longest. Finally the action kicked in near the end, the race is on...........black humvees, alien ships, gun fire and explosives, and the world was saved. The End.

I don't know how feel about this book. I gave it 3 stars because it held my interest for the most part and I can see it turned into a movie on the SyFy channel.

About the Author
Jamie McGuire was born in Tulsa, OK. She attended the Northern Oklahoma College, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Autry Technology Center where she graduated with a degree in Radiography.
