Mavs is annoying as hell. I HATE to be annoyed with the main character, especially throughout the entire book. I originally gave this book a 3 but I thought about it, even though I was irritated with the situation between Maverick, Killian & Kael. I kept coming back for more. I felt that pull to the story and I had to know if Maverick would make the right choice, pick the brother that was right for her.
I know the heart wants what the hearts wants, but when decision and choices are made you deal with it.
Maverick was totally confused throughout most of the book. She had to deal with mixed signals, clouded judgement and denial of true feelings.
Killian did a selfless act but didn't really want to stick with his decision. Causing problems and disrespecting all involved.
Kael may or may not have coveted his brother's lover.....he has always considered Maverick his even when she wasn't. His love for her is complete and unconditional.
This book has the disclaimer of no cheating, there is no physical cheating but I felt there was emotional cheating. It will make you scream.........enough already!!! But I still will give it a 4 because I felt compelled to see how things ended. BTW, I really liked the epilogue. Great HEA!!
