REVIEW - Come Undone: A Hockey Romance by Penny Dee

JAKE
“You want to know why I train? It’s because it’s the only time I’m not thinking about Tyler and the fact that I killed him.”

Jake Pennington is a hockey super star. Hot. Rich. Gorgeous. And super talented. But when a personal tragedy rocks his world, Jake’s life is ripped apart as he is brought to his knees. Broken and completely devastated, he retreats to his family cabin in Canada desperate to forget the world and something he once knew as happiness.

MACKENZIE
“My therapist would say it was me trying to reclaim my life back. To recapture the girl I had once been—frightened of nothing and living life on a whim.”

Mackenzie Eden is battling her own demons. After a horrific incident in college, Mackenzie throws herself into her job as a means to outrun her pain and her litany of phobias. When her path crosses with Jake Pennington she sees a way to bring them both out of the darkness and back into the light.

Come Undone is a story of two people finding each other in the darkness. A sports romance, it will make you laugh, cry and fall head over heels in love with two very broken and stubborn people.

Love a good sports romance!

This book will make you smile and laugh out loud at the witty banter between Mackenzie and Jake. I absolutely loved that, and I think their repartee was my favorite part of the book.

It has some very serious and heartbreaking moments that both characters endure and persevere. It also has that sexual chemistry that makes it a real page turner. All of this wrapped around the world of a hockey player and his newly appointed agent.

In other words, it has it ALL. A very enjoyable read with likable characters, a good storyline, and the must have HEA ending.
