I wasn't expecting such an emotional read. The cover really got me. I thought it was some frivolous sexcapade novel. It was so much more.
Older brother of her childhood best friend, one forbidden night, a long absence, and one despicable secret.
Amelia runs into Dash a few years later and realizes that the feelings are still strong, for both. She doesn't trust him with her heart and wants an explanation. Dash is hesitant, but can't stay away from her. But he needs to confess the secret I did not see coming. I made plenty attempts at guessing and I was so wrong.
Characterwise, I like that Amelia was determined but powerless, and at times I thought she should have just walked away. Dash was guilt-ridden and didn't deal with Amelia or his feeling very well. On the other hand, their chemistry was unbelievably hot.
Although Dash is not a true alpha, I loved their story and was glad they got their HEA. I really had a hard time putting this book down. Another great read!!
