A different type of read for me but that's not a bad thing. "Sweet Cheese", I thought this was an enjoyable story. Realistic struggles and issues with a hint of humor throughout.

Although, I never really connected with or felt invested in the characters as a couple. The chemistry was there between the two, and I liked that Midge is strong, determined and a good role model for her boys. I liked that Hank has alpha characteristics but he also showed his vulnerable side. Downside......he is haunted by ghosts of his past.

This is a good book with some real family issues and an HEA. BTW, I didn't read book 1 of the series and I didn't feel lost. Chalk that up to good writing and good story flow.
