I'm a big fan of TL Smith's work, but this book didn't do it or me.

When Rochelle and Marcus are together, their clothes just FLY OFF! But there is so much back and forth and extended time apart in between, I never became invested in them as a couple. They just felt like f*ck buddies, which is what they agreed to be.

The story dragged out a little, halfway through the book I still didn't know how or really why Marcus was so damaged. Rochell's issue more or less was how badly she dealt with the death of someone close to her.

Near the end, the story shifted to the suspense portion. It was quickly resolved and we moved to their HEA, leaving the door open for the secondary characters' story, Blaze and Kat.

Overall it's an enjoyable read, but I guess I was expecting a little more.
