This Week in Review......

We’ve all done it, salivated over a guy at the gym, imagined the unimaginable.
Wanted what we can’t have.

Only my fantasy has turned into an obsession.
Every night like clockwork he’s there.
Every night like clockwork I’m ready.

I’m not the kind of girl who does this sort of thing and
he’s exactly the kind of man that does.

He’s as sexy AF.
Dominant as all hell.
Built like a machine.

And when he turns up at my work
My absolute worst nightmare.

I want to give it a 2 because I really like the author's other books. But I can't.

Total disappointment from the storyline to the characters. Plus, I don't remember the last time I hated the heroine more.

From USA Today bestselling author Caitlin Crews comes A True Cowboy Christmas, the first in a sensational series debut about a cowboy, a farm girl, and the greatest gift of all. . .
Gray Everett has a heart of gold but that doesn't mean he believes in the magic of Christmas. He's got plenty else to worry about this holiday season, what with keeping his cattle ranch in the family and out of the hands of hungry real-estate investors looking to make a down-and-dirty deal. That, plus being a parent to his young and motherless daughter, equals a man who will not rest until he achieves his mission. Now, all Gray needs is the help of his lifelong neighbor. . .who happens to have grown into a lovely, spirited woman.

For Abby Douglas, the chance to join forces with Gray is nothing less than a Christmas miracle. Much as the down-to-earth farmer's daughter has tried to deny it, Abby's been in love with stern, smoking-hot Gray her whole life. So when Gray proposes a marriage of convenience as a way to combine land--and work together toward a common cause—Abby can't refuse. But how can she convince Gray that sometimes life offers a man a second chance for a reason. . .and that their growing trust and mutual passion may be leading to true and lasting love?

This book starts off with the "bright" idea of a modern-day marriage of convenience. What we get is insecurity issues, family problems, and a my-way or no-way marriage.

Gray is the cold, iron-fisted ruler of his domain. I suppose he had his moments but they were far and few in between. Abby is the forlorn, good-natured woman caught up in the idea. To be honest, she was apprehensive and I felt she deserved better from the beginning. But all is not lost there is an HEA, for those of you (like myself) that always needs one.

However, that does not save this book. I lost interest with Gray's cold demeanor, the heavy storyline, and slow-pace. It just didn't read......Christmas.

Let me start by saying I was "forced" to read this for my reading group. Usually, this is not my thing but.......I kinda liked it!!

My name is Sebastian Lindstrom, and I’m the villain of this story.
I’ve decided to lay myself bare. To tell the truth for once in my hollow life, no matter how dark it gets. And I can assure you, it will get so dark that you’ll find yourself feeling around the blackened corners of my mind, seeking a door handle that isn’t there.
Don’t mistake this for a confession. I neither seek forgiveness nor would I accept it. My sins are my own. They keep me company. Instead, this is the true tale of how I found her, how I stole her, and how I lost her.
She was a damsel, one who already had her white knight. But every fairy tale has a villain, someone waiting in the wings to rip it all down. A scoundrel who will set the world on fire if that means he gets what he wants. That’s me.
I’m the bad guy.

I didn't love the story but I didn't hate it either. A highly functioning psychopath obsessed over a woman.

Sebastian's condition was explained but he was still a little too cray-cray......but the sex was HOT, a girl could see how one might fall for the local psycho.
